Hi, I have been using SPSS version 9 for some time with the scripts that
Richard did that are packaged with JAWS but SPSS 9 is increasingly out of date
and now is not supported by SPSS. I tried them with SPSS 13 and although they
appear to work at first JAWS crashes as soon as you move around the data
management sheet. Has anyone written any scripts for SPSS 13 and if there are
none how do I go about encouraging someone to write them? Perhaps SPSS should
be funding someone to write them, does the DDA apply? Freedom Scientific
support do not seem particularly helpful - just telling me they are not aware
of any scripts. Given the numbers of blind people studying and working in areas
such as psychology and social sciences I would have thought that access to the
most popular statistics software would be a high priority.
Sorry about the rant, frustration of not being able to do my job.
Yours,
John
