[jaws-uk] Re: SAP portal

Ken

It is my understanding that JAWS scripts for SAP have been developed by
SAP themselves. I'm not totally sure how you can get the scripts but if
you have a 'customer number' you can log in to the SAP service area and
download and install them. Again, I'm not sure if the scripts are for
the SAP applications or include the portal.

Subject: [jaws-uk] SAP portal

Hi

I will shortly need to use a SAP web portal as part of my work. I did
some testing today, and it was ... messy!

One of the developers thinks there is an option in Jaws that should be
switched to improve the performance with the SAP portal. Any
suggestions what this option might be?

Any other guidance that might make SAP portal work well with Jaws?

SAP certainly claim the portal is compatible with screen reading
software - unlike mainframe SAP which I know needs custom scripts
written.

Jaws version 8, and Windows XP. I think it is SAP portal version 7.

Hope someone can offer some suggestions.

Thanks,

Ken
