Hi Jim,

If you go to Google and type in error 824 and do a search there's a few
things come up which might help you, though they're a bit obscure.

First thing I'd do is run a registry scan and clean up on the pc, as
from what I can see, this seems to relate to either a corrupt registry
dll file, downloading malfunction, or a redundant server fault. I would
doubt very much if it was the latter.

Then I would re download the files from the FS site via the ftp option.

Sorry can't be of more help, good luck.

Robin.

Hi,

I posted this question a few days ago and didn't get an answer, so I'm=20
trying again in the hope someone will know the answer.

My friend has jaws v7.0 and tried to install jaws 7.1. When it gets to
the=20
end of the installation and he hits finished, the software rolls back
and=20
gives an error of 824 and doesn't install. This happens as well when he=20
tried to install jaws 8.0. Any one got a solution for this problem?

Regards and thanks in advance.
Jim.
