Hi Joan, I've just taken a look at the WMP11 page, (linked from the one I gave you) which says that Beta 2 is available "for our US customers."=20 There's a link on that WMP11 page to, "Learn more about Beta 2 updates", where it tells you how to remove it or roll back. While some of it looks straight forward, there is a "Note:" at the end which has me a just shade concerned, and therefore I'm inclined to suggest that you do have some computer literate, sighted help to hand when you do this. George. -----Original Message----- From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Joan Muir Sent: 30 September 2006 20:23 To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Repairing Windows Media Player George, thanks for that. I checked the site to be told that I'm running the beta of WMP11. I'm wondering if this could be the problem since it's a beta. Anyway, I downloaded and saved it again in case it would make a difference overwriting it? The other alternative is to download version 10 and substitute this but I don't know if I'd first have to uninstall the beta 11. Aren't computers fun! Anyway, I might ask a sighted friend for help, unless you can advise me here? Thanks again. Best wishes, Joan. ----- Original Message ----- From: "George Bell" <george@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, September 30, 2006 6:34 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Repairing Windows Media Player > Hi Joan, > > If you want Media Player 10 (or even 11) you can download > the most up to date version from the following.
