Hi Joan, When you go into Control Panel, Add Remove Programs, you need to select "Windows Components". Windows Media Player appears there, and will be checked. If you uncheck it, and then click OK, it will remove it. You can then go back and check it to re-install it. After that, I suggest running Media player, and selecting Check for Update from the Help menu to ensure you are fully up to date. I've just done this myself with Media Player 10. However, instead I got the message that Windows Media Player could not validate the licence. I tried using Winamp and realplayer but I think Media Player has to validate the licence and I must have a fault in it somewhere. Can't find anywhere to uninstall or repair media player. Is there a way to do it? Best wishes, Joan. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=3Dunsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=3Dfaq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
