I haven't been following this thread so apologies if my suggestion has
already been mentioned (or if you have already found it to be useless.
 
Have you tried investigating the relevant page with insert F3?  This
gives you a list of the HTML elements detected by Jaws and you might
find that the field you are looking for is identified as an edit box or
form field.  Worth a try if you haven't already.

I can't find any form field. I get that screen where it says what the
process is about and that you can abort if the sverification screen is
not displayed. But of course I can't do this as it is displayed, JAWS
just won't read it. Only when using the JAWS cursor can I read things
like pass word, submit etc, but I can't enter into the edit field into
which to type my password.
