Hi Robert,
In a word, no. There is no individual voice adjustment option now, simply a
select profile where you then customize and give it a name.
Think I need to go back and study the `What's new' file again.

Just a quicky. In Jaws 11, once you've entered notepad and selected Voices
and individual voice adjustment, isn't there a choice of radio buttons, one
to modify default and the other application specific (notepad in this case)?
If you choose the application-specific button there is no need to go to
"Save as ..." and give it a name. In Jaws 10 that (unnamed) profile will
then load automatically every time you open Notepad without the need to
select it from the list of profiles.

Hi Robert,
It's a bit different in Jaws 11 but I think I've cracked it. Anyone else
who uses a text editor to write up html might want to verify this.
Open the Jaws window from notepad or whatever programme you want to
customize. Go to voices sub menu, down arrow to select profile... Tab
along and make any adjustments to eloquence if that's your default, then
the key is to hit the `save as....' button and give it a name, I just
called it notepad eloq and said No to making it the default profile.
Easy once you suss it out.... I think?

Robin, it's actually simpler than I said.
Go into notepad, insert + j for Jaws, options then voices. Then go to
individual voice adjustment (not global) and make sure modify notepad
(and
not default) is checked. Since you only want to change punctuation tab
down
to that and make the changes you want and then ok. That should mean
that
that voice profile will always be active for notepad when you open the
programme.
I am still using Jaws 10 so there may be differences in Jaws 11 but I
don't
think the profile system has been changed much. Again if I haven't
given
enough detail let me know.
