yes I agree but sometimes unless you can diagnose a problem you cannot use
the system as I discovered with Jaws and Monochrome, products change, but I
think a British dictionary can be offered by Microsoft as foryoure I
problem I wonder if you can pretend to be a sailor on board a ship and
doffing your cap to the captain and saying in old fashioned terms, well I am
not going to have a stab at it,smile tony

Tony do you mean one of the Sapi voices ? or what this list at one time
used to sniff at and call Jaws Posh? I wonder if it uses a British spell
check? Maybe Vista does?

hi,
not stupid at all,but it is relatively easy if i can remember, open the
jaws file menu and go to synthisiser language sub menu arrow right and
you will find differnt languages british english i think is the first
one you down arrow to ,either way when you find it hit enter on it and
then alt space and arrow to minimise and hit enter it will then speak in
english british english that is unless of course you are useing a
hardware synthisiser and if that is the case then i aint got no idea
lol,hth,
tony

Hi, please ignore this if someone's answered it already but I seem to be
stuck with the American pronunciation of almost everything. Sorry to be
so dense but how do I get to wherever it is the options are for choosing
British English? Realise this is probably dreadfully stuipid question
but hope you will humour me.
Cheers
Amie

Hello
Have been trying to get JAWS to pronounce status with the English
rather than US pronunciation without success. Can anybody suggest the
right combination of letters and spaces etc.
I understand how to use the dictionary itself but have not been able
to hit on the right "formula" for this particular word.
Thanks.
Peter Bentley
