Hi Phil,
Thanks for the advice. Just did a repair and now JAWS starts speaking when it
should, shortly after the startup tune.
Once again, many thanks.

Hi Brian,
I used to have this problem on my pc with Jaws5.1.
It turned out to be a problem with the video chaining.
You might want to try repairing Jaws or uninstalling and re-installing the
Jaws video intercept manager.
HTH,
Phil Medway.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Prolonged startup
Hi,
I installed JAWS V6.0 last week and everything seemed to go OK. Problem is,
whenever I start up my computer, JAWS seems to take an age to say anything.
From the point of turning on my computer to JAWS announcing itself, I have
timed to 12 minutes.
Does anyone know why this is taking so long?
From the time of turning on to the Windows startup sound seems to be
normal, but then I have to wait about ten minutes for JAWS to kick in.
Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.
Brian.
