Please forgive the rubbish in my last message.

I should have said that I have SP2, but not SP3.

But, following George's message, and the fact that SP3 isn't yet available,
then, using SP2, Jaws isn't working as it should for me with MS Word and the
update to Jaws.

By the way, why should we do an install of the complete version when the
update facility is on the Help menu?

There was certainly a known issue that concerned the edit window for the
filename in the open dialogue, that particular issue should be resolved in
the latest JAWS update.  Does your MS Office have any service packs
installed. it might well be worth getting sp1 two and three on.

It's the version of Microsoft Word that is 9.0.2717, not Jaws.

I thought I said this, but may be I didn't make it totally clear, for which
apologies.

Anyway, I still have the issue, in this version of Word, of the virtual PC
cursor appearing when I bring up the Save As dialogue box.

Should this latest update fixed this problem, please?

Please check what version you have again, we haven't got to version 9.0.2717
just yet.  The latest build of JAWS available publically is 9.0.552 and for
most if not all having severe difficulty reading MS Word document s this
build resolves the issue.

I am using Office 2000, also.

However, when I ask Jaws for the version of Word, it says 9.0.2717.

Even with the update to Jaws 9, I still can't bring up the PC cursor when I
do a Save As. 

One of the fixes in this update was to the Save As in Word 2000. 

So, either I haven't got Word 2000, or the fix hasn't worked for me.

Could you confirm things your end please?
