Oh Phill, that is not easy, I thought you meant that new desktop you are making for Estalita, wonder if George has any ideas on this one. being a Sunday many of the professionals may not be looking at the list. I wish you luck and I do hope you solved that Video or Graphics problem, testing different ones is a good idea but it is risky, I did notknow what "the Blue wall of death " meant until Dolphin support flung a whole selection of drivers at me, only system restore saved the day. there is a site for Video drivers that is for second hand or, drivers that are hard to find but that will not solve your Jaws professional update Problem. I am sure many will come to your aid if they can Dorothy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Phill" <phill@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Dorothy,I purchased a laptop with Jaws pro version 8-0-2173 that was working fine, but Estelita could not work the laptop as it is a large one as well as herdesktop, so we got her a new desktop It would appear that the Jaws cd I haveinstalled from is version Pro 8 dated April 2007, when I looked for anyupdates non were available, so I think this is the problem were do I get the update from, have looked on F/S website but it seems way out of date and noupdates. Have sent a e-mail to the last owner of the laptop asking if he can advise were he updated it. You could try a Reinstall or Repair to see whathappens. I am using Version 9 and have no Problems but half the list seemedto have to do a Repair last week just getting down the latest Patch or update Good Luck Dorothy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Phill" <phill@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Jaws-Uk@Freelists. Org" <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, February 03, 2008 1:10 AM Subject: [jaws-uk] Problem with 8ProCan anyone explain to me what is happening with Jaws 8 pro, have just installed it onto a new system, all went well with the installation on line activation went through fine no problems. When I went to options to start Jaws automatically the box is greyed out not giving you the opportunity to select it.In the help files it says if this happens you have not installed onto yourroot directory. But on looking it is in C drive\programs\freedom scientific\jaws. So this is correct. The next strange words spoken are when you start Jaws from the desktop or system tray he says something, something, beta, then works fine until you close an application then says MSP VERAGE Anyone heard of this before?
