Hi Joan,

If you have installed a recent version of Skype it's possible that you also got 
an addon called Skype Mastermind, it adds itself to your web browser and can 
act as a blocker, open Internet Explorer, open the tools menu, then find 
"manage add-ons" and look down the list of active add-ons, if Skype Mastermind 
is there, highlight it and tab to the options and select disable, then save 
changes.

Let us know if this solves your problem, otherwise it could be a blocker in 
your security program.

  Would anyone be able to help please? On many audio sites I just can't get on 
now because there is a horrid sound and I'm returned to the site I left.

  I have obviously downloaded some form of blocker but can't find it in 
add/remove programs.

  Could anyone make suggestions please? I couldn't find a Google toolbar or any 
toolbar come to that.
