[jaws-uk] Re: OT General question About Remot eAccess

Yes you can do that using your wireless router set up properly, but if
you want to print from your laptop make sure the Desktop is on, they will be
using shared components you see, recently when I found I could not print
from my laptop as I once did, it was merely because the Firewall on the
Desktop was set to "No exceptions, if you have good reception you can print
from any part of house ,or indeed garden, if the walls are thick just
adjust the Router slightly. as for the Tandem feature it is not needed just
in order to use your laptop around the home and garden I often get better
reception from the garden in a small summer house, of course the battery life
if you are in garden depends on how good it is mine on my little Toshiba
lasts a long time Dorothy

Subject: [jaws-uk] OT General question About Remot eAccess

Hi folks.

Sorry this is slightly off topic, but then again it might not be.

We've got a wireless network set up at home.

The main PC is in the office, but I want to be able to get access to all
it's programs from my laptop if I fancy doing some work in the garden when
it gets sunny.

I don't want to cram my laptop full of programs as it isn't as powerful as
the pc.

Can this be done with a regular wirelss network, if not is there an
accessible solution to enable me to do this.

Or, could I upgrade to jaws ten and use the Tandem function to control the
pc from the laptop.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Cheers
Darren
