No problem here either.

Best wishes,

Joan.

no problem whatsoever this end using nod32, even forgot to shut down Outlook express during installation and thought that might cause difficulty but nothing to report. The installation takes a long time and the ticking sound they have put there to indicate activity and progress is nice to have. Haven't used Word yet so can't comment.

Cheers now,

Marie.

no such problems at this end I must say. could part of the problem be to do with having the antivirus software running at the same time as installation
of JAWS?

I don't really know but I have so little faith in nortan antivirus that
anything is possible.

Of course I realise that there may be little you can do about this as the
antivirus program used is probably outside your control.

Hi all,

Dell Optiplex 270, 512 Ram, Intel 82865 Graphics, XP Pro 2002, SP2 on
large network.

McAfee virusScan Enterprise 8.0.0.912, engine 5.1.00 Real time scanning
on.

Firstly the pc froze when looking for updates. Then, found the update
and selected it 2nd time.

Got to 94% and pc froze again. Three more attempts with that Microsoft
error send report screen before it finally installed and prompted to
restart the computer.

Base unit gave a couple of alarm bleeps and wouldn't restart, so did the
finger on the magic button method. Once logged on, jaws message saying
it was reconfiguring my system for jaws.... Then job completed.

Maybe just my imagination for now but I get the feeling there's the
occasional pregnant pause when hitting certain keystrokes or tabbing
around things, so I'm not too confident that things have gone sweet with
this update.

Keep wondering if 512 Ram needs a top up as the CP usage in the task
manager is sitting at 98%

Does anyone know if I can undo this update and perhaps run this process
again from scratch? Any other suggestions or theories most welcome.

Jaws & McAfee weren't exactly good neighbours historically either were
they?
