[jaws-uk] Re: Moving from JAWS5.1 to JAWS8

Hi Robin,

Fortunately my employer has an SMA so I won't have to put my hand in my
pocket. Grin. Thanks to you and Tiddy for your responses.

Cheers.

Matty.

Hi Matty,

Not as steep as the cash you're going to shell out for your upgrade, but
then I'm a typical tight Scotsman, and I wouldn't dare try and revive
that old chestnut and incite steam from a few boilers.

Personal opinion is that jfw 5.1 was one of the most stable versions and
handled the internet and many applications very well. I wouldn't say
Jaws has come a long way since 5.1, but there's one or two new features
I do like in version 8 and it's doing not bad in keeping up with general
changes in technology.

Depends I suppose on what you mainly use your pc for but scanning
through the `What's new sections would be a good tip.

Cheers, Robin.

        Hi listers.
At the moment I am using JAWS5.1but in the near future will be
moving onto JAWS8, how steep is the learning curve likely to be?

        Regards.

        Matty.
