Message I can only say that from my experience with MS messenger since I was
using Jaws 4.2 with messenger 6.2 they worked well, now I am using Jaws 6,
it seems even better, I didn't use any scripts for this program at all.

Hi Robin,
I too got the update for windows messenger yesterday, however despite
checking the appropriate box to run Windows Messenger when starting the pc for
me it doesn't!OK signing in manually isn't a problem, just one of these
annoying little problems!Secondly when using MSN messenger there was an option
to go to your hotmail in box, in windows messenger it does have an E mail in
box option but it takes you to (in my case ) outlook express which is my ntl
account not my hotmail account! I guess I was more annoyed that I was being
forced to upgrade to Messenger 6.2 or better when I had no possibility of
accessing it. JFW 4.5.1 works great for me,therefore I have no immediate
requirement to upgrade my JFW, certainly not just to access messenger. I guess
Windows Messenger will do me fine! Thanks anyway!
Alistair

Hi Ally,
Can't help you much on commercial scripts, but just to say, with XP SP2
yesterday, I noticed a windows hotfix and an updated version of windows
messenger going through, so maybe it will have better relationships with JFW
4.51. It certainly works no problem with Jaws 6 for me.
What problems did you have with windows messenger?
Robin

Subject: [jaws-uk] Micro Soft Messenger and Jaws?
Hi All,
Well not for the first time Woke up this morning ( always a good start!)
to find out that Messenger 5 would now not work until I upgraded to a later
version such as messenger 6.2. I'm currently using JFW 4.5.1 and XP home so
does anyone know of any commercially available scripts which would allow jaws
4.5.1 to access a later version of messenger e.g. 6.2? Failing that it's back
to good old windows messenger!
Best Wishes
Alistair
