Now, you're confusing me.  I couldn't find any dots in your message.  Still, 
I wouldn't know what else to do other than what you have already done.  I 
would have assumed that that should have worked as long as there are only 
three dots.

Barry, I should have perhaps included this before, but here's an actual
pasted extract from a recent e-mail where the chap's venting his spleen!

I'm going straight to hell . . . apparently.

Now, if I read this with the up arrow as in one line at a time, following
Erica's suggestions I tried entering a dash, it reads fine. A pause in
reading and no mention of periods. However, if I go to the top of the
e-mail, or anywhere in the e-mail for that matter, and do an insert plus
down arrow combination, then I hear period period, two instead of three, any
time the text contains it.

Sorry if I'm confusing everyone reading, but I hope I'm getting across my
problem.

I appreciate its a minor invconvienve and that's all, but I would like to
find a solution if one's available.
