If there are words you use often that the spellchecker does not recognise,
you could always add them to the dictionary, I think this is Alt+A when it
announces the mis-spelt word. Living in N.I., I do this with many words we
use.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Local dialect.
Hello, everyone, if someone could help me I?d be very grateful. I live
in Dundee in the east of Scotland and contribute to a group discussing a
wide range of subjects. On the lighter side there?s a lot of fun sending
and receiving messages using the local dialect. When sending messages
outlook express is, understandably, not happy with the word-spelling. I?m
wondering if there?s a way to temporarily disable the spell checker to let
these messages through.
Thanks a bunch.
Jim T.
