[jaws-uk] Re: Linked-In and JAWS

Hello Amie,
That sounds wonderful that you were able to accomplish so much on the site. I
am a recent blind and have used linkedin before I lost my sight. So, I was very
familiar with the layout and what to do on the site. Perhaps, visiting a new
site and experiencing it for the first time for me too would be a challenge.
You can find me on linkedin and add me as a connection if you please use the
people search feature on their site and find my profile Mujtaba Merchant

Have a great day!

  Hi
Thank you very much for your quick response.
Actually, I've been working at it in the time between these messages and
have managed to accept my pending invitations, edit my profile, add my
website and a photo, so it's going pretty well :o)
Isn't it the case,or maybe it's just me, that getting used to a new site is
always a learning curve, familiarising with the lay-out and functions? I
was just at that moment when I was struggling a bit and not sure if I was
hitting real trouble or just teething difficulties. Looks like it just
  needed a little more exploration.
  Liking Linked-In very much now.
  Thanks again.

  Hello,
Surprisingly I am very happy that I found linkedin the most accessible site
professionally designed to help users with screen readers. Not only that
they have short cut keys on the site, but most of the buttons and graphics
are labled if they are functional in any way. Please let me know what are
the areas that you are facing difficulties with on the site and perhaps I
  can help you out better.

  Best regards,

    Hi list
Has anyone anything to say re- using JAWS with the Linked-In site please?
I'm just tackling it, having put it off for months, and am wondering
  whether
the problems I'm already having are my own fault or limitations of the
  site
    when using JAWS?

I've only just begun but am already having trouble tracking down the
contents of my in-box to respond to the invitations I've been ignoring all
this time. I'm only a few minutes in so will keep exploring. Figured it
makes sense to ask you lot about it now, though, rather than once I'm
tearing my hair about it :o)

    Thanks for any help.

    Amie
