As someone has said, laptop keyboards can vary a great deal.

On My Toshiba Satellite, the front row is as follows going
from left to right

Ctrl
Function
Alt
Accent, Solid Vertical Bar, and Pipe
Space Bar
Backslash and Broken Vertical Bar
Insert
Delete
Alt Gr
