Control insert I is pretty easy if you use your right hand for insert and
control (on the right side of the keybord) and your left hand for the I.
Thanks,
Nigel
It's not what Operating system you use, it's how productive you are with it.

Regarding the use of the alt key: Has anybody else noticed that recent
versions of JAWS also think that our alt-gr (right alt & ctrl key) is
'alt'; and not 'ctrl-alt' as JAWS used to know it? What it is is that
they're taking the English-US keyboard layout as the norm: whereas, JAWS
should be taking the correct key designation from whichever keyboard
layout one is actually using at the time.
There's a fairly acrobatic keystroke for registering (or something) your
WordPerfect with JAWS, and that is, ctrl-insert-i.

Hi Ian
An interesting question. It's not only the four key ones that are
contortionist. I find some of the three key ones pretty
finger-twisting. The one I've been using recently is the MS Word one
for insert the date, shift+alt+D. it's just that none of the keys fall
into ergonomic simplicity and I have to hold down alt+D with the left
hand, which isn't usual, and the shift with the right. Once you get
used to it, it becomes easier but it takes some practice.
I reckin we're running out of permutations. It would be interesting to
hear whether anyone had any ideas about how we might find other ways of
executing commands other than hotkeys. The old Frank Audiodata used to
have a dedicated keypad wich could be programmed and you could do a lot
more than you can these days without worrying about conflicting with
other MS commands.

Hello,
I have had cause in recent days to use the four-key combination to
examine the advanced features of webpage elements and it caused me to
wonder if anyone would like to suggest what they think the most
unreachable JAWS key combination might be. There is no doubt that
Freedom Scientific encourage us to go in for a high degree of manual
contortionism.
Iain.
