Strange - my jaws software doesn't even allow me to do that
I have to disable something in settings called "application analyser under
proactive defence which I don't want to do because then I will be vulnerable
to other dangerous apps.

Ryan:
Just to confirm, JAWS says that I have zero items in the task tray and I can
tab and shift tab.

Hi david,
When I run task manager with kaspersky loaded, jaws speaks the window title
and says "list view" with announcing how many items are in the list. I
cannot tab around or press anything the only thing that works is alt+f4
which exits task manager and when I press alt f4 jaws talks again once task
manager exits.
Kaspersky has detected a virus before before it even got into the system.

Hi - I use this a/v on my laptop.
Task manager tells me 'zero items'.
It permits me to tab between the various buttons and speaks.
Have you ever had it find a virus?
If not, it is very apparent!

Hi all,
I have a question (or, should I say, a problem) regarding jaws for windows
8.0 and kaspersky anti-virus 6.0 (this is the virus software supplied with
my pc).
When kaspersky is loaded, jaws will not speak in the windows task manager
(control alt del).
I have tested other products such as system access, and there is no problem
with these other products accessing task manager while kaspersky anti virus
is loaded.
Is there a fix for this, and is it to do with the jaws video intercept
driver and/or dcm?
I am using jaws 8.0.2173u
