Tony, thanks for your reply.
Oh that my problem was as easily solved as yours.
I have just done a reboot, to clarify just what the options are.
There are three radio buttons, but only one is operable at this time.
This is:
Install Video Intercept and restart system.
As I have said, the other two radio buttons aren't operable at this stage,
but they are:
Uninstall Video Interecpt, and Display Video Intercept information.
There is then a button called Execute, which follows on from the Install
Video Intercept and restart the system.
There is then a Close button, an area which displays the device causing the
problem, and a help button.
If I press the Execute button, the message "Operation was successful"
appears, and the computer then reboots.
A list of options later appears, including:
Safe mode,
Safe Mode with networking,
Safe Mode with Command Prompt,
Last Known Good Configuration,
Your most recent settings that worked,
Start Windows normally.
We entered on "Last known good configuration".
Windows then continues, and Jaws then displays the same Video Intercept
message.
I then have to go to the Close button, to use the computer, but cannot, as
already stated, edit or read text in such files as Notepad ones.
This is the dilema that I am in.
If anyone else has a suggestion, I'd welcome it, please.
Best wishes,
Keith

Subject: [jaws-uk] Jaws Video Intercept issue
Hi all,
Jaws 8 with Windows XP Home.
Since having this new computer built, I am experiencing a Video Intercept
problem on starting Jaws.
Evidently Jaws doesn't like the PCI Express graphics card, which I think is
an Asus one.
When I press the execute button, the computer reboots.
However, instead of going straight into Windows, it halts at a menu which
contains such items as Safe Mode, and something like Last Known
Configuration - not quite sure about this last one.
Anyway, on returning to Windows, the Video Intercept message appears again.
I am currently not able to read any text other than HTML, so cannot edit or
read any of my Notepad files.
This is the first experience I have had with Video Intercept.
I will presumably have to change the graphics card, unless someone can
suggest a work-around.
Is there anywhere listed the graphics cards that Jaws will not work with,
please?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Keith
