Thanks, Peter. That sounds better. Now I'll have to try to get it to work for me. Best wishes, Joan. ----- Original Message ----- From: Peter Bentley To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, February 29, 2008 8:50 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Jaws Saying Superscript Joan It can be turned off within the sounds manager. There is a good tutorial dealing with the speech and sounds manager in the training section of the help menu and I would point you there but I will try and give you a sketch. 1. Open the configuration manager and then the JAWS configuration manager 2. Alt+s for set options. 3. M for speech and sounds manager. 4. Select the sound scheme to which you want to apply the change. I will assume the classic scheme since that would be the "default". 5. Alt+e to edit the scheme 6. Control+tab to the attributes tab. 7. Down arrow to superscript and then tab once. 8. Down arrow to ignore and then tab to okay etc. 9. You might want to save the scheme under a different name as a precaution. Regards. I would like to stop this and wonder if someone could tell me how to do this please.
