[jaws-uk] Re: Jaws Saying Superscript

MessageThanks for that, folks. However, if I simply ask Jaws to regard the word
"superscript" as a space, it now refers to first as 1 s t whereas I had it set
to regard 1 s t as the word first. This sounds so complicated.

What I'd really love is to have Jaws totally disregard the superscript symbol
as it used to before version 9.

Best wishes,

Joan.

Joan, it's saying superscript 2, or something like that, meaning it's read a
character that's above the base line of the other characters, like the 2 in X
squared.
I guess you could get in the config manager to try changing it, but if it's
only with one or two words, use the Jaws dictionary - insert + D to change the
pronunciation.

    Hi, Folks,

I am getting fed up with Jaws squeakily announcing "superscript" every so
often. I would like to stop this and wonder if someone could tell me how to do
this please.

    Best wishes,

    Joan.
