Hi Peter,
Thanks for that, I do know about CDex, but I do not have a decent quality
cassette deck near my computer to connect up without having miles of cable
running around the house. Thats why I wanted to know more about the
cassettee/MP3 converter.

Jim,
If you already have a cassette player which you can bring to the computer,
you can connect it to the inline socket on your sound card and use a program
called CDEx which is free, it is primarily a program for extracting audio
from CD's to computer, but it has some additional tools including one for
recording to your computer from an analog source, the program is freely
available from many sites including http://www.whitestick.co.uk.
