Hi last month dolphin were using Sp 3 for windows and sp1 for Vista, the date I was being told this was the day they tried to fix the Interceptor problem so March 31 Your ear is pretty close to the ground Brian have you heard about the fix I will call it that for Jaws 9? I assume the Patch or update will be for both Jaws Professional or Jaws Standard? I think it doesn't come in automatically like Windows but we need to 1 Either find out for ourselves or be tipped off about it.
Re silverlight I found that in my Computer or Control panel it said "not activated so I thought I would investigate it 2 people told me it was a Beta version 1 person a Jaws user the other not Dorothy
Ps which version of Jaws are you sunning with your new Dell? also will any version of Jaws work with Vista? Is it only Jaws 9? also am I correct in assuming that so far as Vista is concerned it doesn't matter if Jaws is Professional or not? In my little bit of exploring back to 2 years ago you will see that I spent weeks trying to Register Jaws to Xp Professional not knowing what the Engineer had done, it was then my RNIB volunteer said " it is only a problem with Jaws with any other screen reader it wouldnot matter a jot" ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Lingard" <b.lingard@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Ottawa Canada Dear D and list: For JAWS as with most other programs, a patch is usually issued free of charge to fix a bug or bugs. An update is a new release generally with new and improved features. SP3 will be for Windows XP and NOT for VISTA. The first service pack for VISTA will be SP1. Silver Light is Microsoft's answer to Adobe Flash, that is, it is a multimedia extension for playing audio, movies and such. Guess they decided they don't like Flash from Adobe and can do it better their way. When posting to the list, please quote only the minimum required to maintain continuity.
