Dongle authorisation is a possibility that may recommend itself.

Thank you Tristram for precise and detailed answer. Until now, I had
naively believed that an authorisation was not lost when it was removed. I se
that I was wrong, and this really increses very much my fear of seeng this ILM
authorisation procedure to come here as well.
Cheers,
Pierre.

the FS server to increment the count. In this case my advice would be to
before carrying out any work find their serial number from within the Jaws
window and use that on the following link to see if there is an activation pick
up post maintainance or whatever:

attempt to sort things out from there so they can activate. This way we can
keep things going smoothly without there being undue delay.

later date but if you loose the authorisation CD then we can usually obtain the
authorisation number although we don't usually have it ourselves at S&S. What
makes things harder is if you cannot tell us the serial number, the Jaws isn't
registered by you. Then we have to go back to sales records which don't
necessarily tell the whole story. Keep your serial number handy if nothing
else.

"remove product activation" feature when passing a PC onto someone else so that
you are the only one who has access to your license. If you have Jaws 5.0 or
below and use Quella and passing on the PC you can actually retrieve the
license back to the floppy disk if you turn off your anti-virus and type
"a:hjauth.exe c: a:".

using Quella whilst others who have brought Jaws when 5.10 came out will
actually be running on ILM. It is also evident when looking at Jaws build
number, the version for ILM is 5.10.382, if you are running Quella then it is
5.10.383 and you probably downloaded that off the net.
