The VISTA thing is a unique experience in the history of JAWS for Windows it is
not very likely to happen again as the overall circumstances were fairly
unique. One of those unique circumstances was Microsoft having to tear down
and re-write the O/S completely during the development cycle in 2004, luckily
as a result we got a core based on Windows Server 2003 for that but it has
screwed up everybody. The new security stuff has caused headaches and for some
software other will continue to do so for a while.
We've also had an enormously upgraded Office 2007 which not only provides new
features but entirely new interface for the most part.
