First thing they might want to do is check exactly what version they have and
if need be download and install Jaws 6.20 from:
ftp://ftp.freedomscientific.com/users/hj/private/WebFiles/JAWS/J6.20.065U_ILM.exe
The other thing they should try is going into the "display" options in "control
panel" and drop the "windows theme" to "windows classic". Give the PC a
restart and see how things are going.
In MS Word which is probably what they are reading their documents in they
should try in the "view" menu setting it to "normal" Then make a return trip
into the "view" menu and go down and press enter on "zoom" set it to 75
percent. See if the reading in MS Word returns that way.

Subject: [jaws-uk] JAWS 6 and XP Pro
Hi All,
I am asking this question on behalf of a friend who is having problems with
JAWS on a university network. He is using JAWS 6 with XP Pr. He has been
assured that it is JAWS 6 Pro.
The problem he is experiencing is that JAWS is not reading each line as he
cursors through them, this includes both documents and menu items, as well
as items in an outlook express folder.
Has anyone experienced similar problems, if so, how did you get around it?
