That is interesting I was once told to delete Temporary Files, but I did not understand why and what they actually do. I find it hard to delete anything unless I know why it is there in the first place? Dorothy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tiddy Ogg" <oggy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Sue, cookies are little programs that other people put on your computer when you visit their websites. Many of these are harmless, and let's the site know that you've been there before and can thus give you a personal message. From experience, clearing these in that clean-up thing doesn't get rid of the useful ones anyway. Note some cookies are spyware but Adaware etc will get rid of those... so maybe it would be safer to leave them there during your I E clean-up. Get rid of the temp files though. -----Original Message----- From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of sue morgan Sent: 11 February 2008 19:20 To: Jaws Subject: [jaws-uk] Internet explorer options. Hi. I've just cleared my history list in internet explorer. I'm wondering if it's a good idea to also delete the temporary files and the cookies. Please can anyone tell me what cookies actually do because I'm not sure. I'm just trying to keep the computer running as it should. Thanks I'm going to do a defrag and a disc clean up later.
