[jaws-uk] Re: Internet banking & forms mode problem

Hi Robin,

I had trouble with this sort of thing in 7.0, seemed to be much better in
7.1 and it's gone worse again in Jaws 8.0. As far as I am aware there has
been no fix for it. I get round it by going back to 7.1 just to use the
Natwest site.

No good news I'm afraid.

Regards

David

Subject: [jaws-uk] Internet banking & forms mode problem

Hi all,

Using First Direct internet banking for years and this is the first time
I've experienced this problem, and I have seen references to it on this list
but didn't pay attention to any fixes or advice.

JFW 8 Pro, IE7, XP Pro

Went into the system of making a payment to a credit card from my main
account and when you switch on forms mode you just can't tab through the
form in the proper order. Tabbing takes you to a contents menu frame and
nowhere near the edit boxes you want. You physically have to turn off forms
mode and arrow to each edit field then press forms mode each time to enter
the relevant details. Even when you're done and hit the confirm button, the
jaws cursor doesn't land on the focus line when the next page loads, which is
telling me that my payment has been successfully processed...

What was always an easy task is now a bit of a pain. Was there any fix, or
is this just a gremlin in Jaws 8?

Kind regards,

Robin Clayden,
