[jaws-uk] Re: Installation and Location Questions

Hi Sayka,

Firstly as for removing the folders left behind by previous JFW
uninstallers, it should be perfectly ok to do this. I've a feeling V 6 uses
a different set of shared components, but don't quote me on that! Smile.

Now re: the path for placing scripts, you need to navigate to the following:
c:\documents and settings\username\application data\freedom
scientific\jaws\6.0\settings\enu. Note in order for the application data to
show up, you need to be set up to show hidden files and folders. If you're
unsure on how to do this, the following should help:

ions%20and%20hidden%20files.txt

HTH.

Cheers,

Subject: [jaws-uk] Installation and Location Questions

Hi All,

Recently I decided to add various programme scripts to jaws 6 but when it
came to putting the scripts into the settings\enu file, I found (very
embarrassingly) that I couldn't find the Jaws 6.0 folder on my C drive. All
the folders for older versions of Jaws I had installed were there, but not
that one. I haven't a clue where it may be and would be grateful for any
help in locating it. I'm using Windows XP and Jaws 6.0 which is working
perfectly fine even if I can't find the folder on the hard drive.

This brings me on to my next question: I decided today in a fit of energy
that I would get rid of the older versions of Jaws on my computer. I've
uninstalled them but their folders on the hard drive have not been removed.
If I delete these, it won't effect Jaws 6 will it? I'm worried that I may
delete one of the shared components by accident.

Thanks for all your help

Sayka Hussain
