HELLO SAYKA
I HAD EXACT SAME PROBLEMS
I FOUND THAT IF U GO TO START BUTTON, PROGRAMS, JAWS, ETC YOU WILL FIND A
OPTION EXPLORE SETTINGS I THINK IT IS CALLED
I IT U FIND MERGED SETTINGS ETC, BUT IT APPEARS TO ACT LIKE EXPLORER ONCE
OPENED
THIS IS HOW I SOMEHOW MANAGED TO INSTALL NEW STRIPTS FOR JAWS V6
I ALSO THINK IT MAY LOOK AT YOUR OLDER ENU FOLDERS ALSO, BUT NOT SURE IF IT
IMPORTS EARLIER VERSIONS OF SCRIPTS THAN V5
I STILL HAVE 4.5 ON MY PC AND FIND IT USEFUL FOR CERTAIN PROGRAMS THAT V6
DOES NOT APPEAR TO RUN SO WELL ON
IT IS ALSO HANDY IF U HAVE EARLIER VERSION STILL ON YOUR UNIT AS SOME
SCRIPTS ARE MADE FOR EARLIER VERSIONS TOO
ANOTHER THINK I HAVE NOTICED WHICH IS NOT RELATED TO YOUR QUESTION BUT I
HAVE NOTICED THAT IN HTML OR CERTAIN EMAILS AND WEB PAGES THAT V6 TAKES ON A
NEW UPPER PITCHED VOICE OF ITS OWN
I HAVE SINCE FOUND OUT THIS IS TO DO WITH SOUND SCHEMES ETC
I UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE DOING BUT AM UNSURE WHICH TICK BOXES IF ANY TO
CHANGE THESE OPTIONS, WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE WHOLE 24 OF THEM TO CHECK
WHAT ONE IS CAUSING THIS FEATURE
IT HAS CERTAINLY GOT TO DO WITH FOND STYLES IN CERTAIN EMAILS THAT IS
CAUSING THIS PITCH INCRIMENT
GOOD LUCK ON YOUR OUTCOME IWTH SCRIPTS

Subject: [jaws-uk] Installation and Location Questions
Hi All,
Recently I decided to add various programme scripts to jaws 6 but when
it came to putting the scripts into the settings\enu file, I found (very
embarrassingly) that I couldn't find the Jaws 6.0 folder on my C drive.
All the folders for older versions of Jaws I had installed were there,
but not that one. I haven't a clue where it may be and would be
grateful for any help in locating it. I'm using Windows XP and Jaws 6.0
which is working perfectly fine even if I can't find the folder on the
hard drive.
This brings me on to my next question: I decided today in a fit of
energy that I would get rid of the older versions of Jaws on my
computer. I've uninstalled them but their folders on the hard drive
have not been removed. If I delete these, it won't effect Jaws 6 will
it? I'm worried that I may delete one of the shared components by
accident.
Thanks for all your help
Sayka Hussain
