sorry if I have not explained that well, but I assume Jaws 9 was an upgrade? so you need the Case of the first that was not an update it could be Version which has it in side the Packet or it may be Version 7 come to think of it mine was inside the case of Version 7. Out of curiosity what did your computer die of? Did you get any warning? were you doing a Defrag? David I am trying to reply to you but Jaws keeps on about Central European, Lord knows why? However if you got Jaws version as an upgrade that number is not on the Cd, I had a job finding it it is on the Cd you first had with the version you first bought recently like Version 8 if you do not read Braille and I don't you may have to ask a sighted person to read it out for you Hope this helps

My not very old PC died a couple of weeks ago.

Just installed JAWS 9 onto the replacement, but cannot find
the 20 character code anywhere.

Can I find it on my laptop configuration anywhere, or how
