Hi Jim,

Try checking that checkbox, that was what I did when I installed the program and it worked fine.

Regards,

Pete H.

Pete,

I've just gone through the Configuration settings in CDEX and found the
following in the CD Player tab:

I pressed the Space Bar to non select the "Native NI Scuzzy Library?" and a
message popped up stating:

"Failed to find WNASPI32.DLL, use Native NI Scuzzy Library instead?"

I know I downlloaded the correct ASPI 32 system from the Adaptec website and
copied the install command from the web to make sure I had the right one.
However, on checking the ASPI sub folder in the CDEX folder there is no
WNASPI32.DLL file in there, only a WNASPI64.DLL file which is no good as my
computer is 32 bit.

I'll have to get back to the Adaptec website tomorrow to find out what has
happened.

I'll keep you posted.

Hi Jim,

The program does say jitter while it is ripping, but the track rips fine,
but in your case do you get an actual error message, in that case maybe you
have a problem with the disc drive, please give us an idea of what kind of
error you get and whether or not the track rips successfully.

Regards,

Pete H.

Hi List,

After getting nowhere with Goldwave I have turned to CDEX but with no
better
luck.

Each time I try to rip a track from a CD I get a "Jitter Error" message.
I
looked at the Help page and followed their advice and checked I had the
correct ASPI driver which I do. I tried changing the settings within the
CD
player list but with no success.

I have seen messages from other JAWS users who are familiar with CDEX so
I'm
hoping someone can come to my rescue.

Jim Williams
