[jaws-uk] Re: HOW DO I?

Val,

You need to add each expression to Jaws, using the Dictionary Manager.

1. Go to the Jaws Menu and select Utilities.
2. Select Dictionary Manager.
3. Press the Add button to enter a new expression.
4. In the first box, enter the string of punctuation that makes up the expression, for example :-)
5. In the next box, add the word that represents the expression, for example "Smile".
6. Tab around the remainder of the window and hit OK.
7. Repeat as often as you need to for different expressions.
8. Save the changes to the dictionary and exit.

You might find this page on my web site helpful in understanding the different expressions that people use.

I have noticed that in messages some people put 'smile' or 'grin' etc. in
it. How do I do it?
