Reverse DNS (Domain Name Server) is simply a means whereby
when you send a message to the list, freelist's server sends
a message back to your ISP validating that the message has
in fact originated from your ISP.

It is very common for spammers to change the details of
where a message has come from.  By doing this checking, a
great deal of spam is thrown out.
