[jaws-uk] Fw: Re: Trogan Kaspersky



Dorothy,

Glad to hear that everything is OK now. I think that you have made the
right decision by getting rid of the old product and installing AVG
insted. One note of caution, I'm not a technical person but I'd be a
little bit wary about deleting files (from Jaws) as, even if an
anti-virus product identifies them as an infection, that anti-virus
software may be wrong. I guess that George Bell or Tristam would be
better qualified to advise on such matters.

I have looked into kaspersky and found it had found 4 trogans 3 were in 
an email attachment and one was a file called filefinderHJnetinfo.dll in
Jaws folder. surprisingly kaspersky had deleted them but it didn't speak
that option it said it couldn't disinfect it, and the system was ok after
that. I have put on the latest version of AVG and uninstalled kaspersky, and 
the new avg has got anti spyware so that's a plus.
