Hi Dorothy

This is by no means a solution but a work around that you could use. Does
Jaws work in Word in inverse mode? If it does, you could write your email
in Word and send it using *File/Send to/Email recipient*. You could also
save the message you wanted to read in Outlook Express as a text file in
Word or copy and paste the message into a Word document. If Word is also
inaccessible, you could write the text of your email in Kerzweil then cut
and paste it into an email. I'm not sure if copying the body of a message
you want to read into Kerzweil would work, but that is also worth a try.

I know this is very awkward but, until some solution to the Outlook and
Outlook Express/Jaws issue has been sorted, which does not seem to be
imminent, this is the best I can think of.
