Hi Angela,

Just to add to what's been said, Control+X, C and V are shortcuts. These commands can be initiated from the Edit dropdown menu from the Menu Bar as well. So the Menu Bar is a good place to start with when you want to accomplish a task, or to cut and paste a file and can't remember the shortcuts!
