Hi Angela.  I'm surprised at that, but I'll believe you.  If it's a single 
file you want to send simply open the file, select all, (CTRL + a, copy 
(CTRL+C, then paste this into your e-mail with CTRL+V.
Alternatively, change the file extension to .doc, that's done using F2, and 
try again to send as an attachment.
If you're sending a lot of files, it might be better to Zip them, if you 
have a program like Winzip, and send them all in one compressed file.
