[jaws-uk] Re: File display

I think what you may need to do before you make the changes you describe
are to go into the "folder options" and "General" tab, Make sure that
"tasks" radio button is set to "use common tasks in folders" and set
"browse folders" to "open each folder in the same window" and then "OK"
that.

I don't think the customization works when you are using classic
folders, or least that is what I remember.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [jaws-uk] File display

Good morning all,

Windows XP Home,
Jaws 10

May I firstly apologise that this is not a Jaws issue, but I'm wondering
if
someone has a solution for me, please.

My problem concerns the fact that Windows is not permanently saving the
way
I wish files to be displayed.

The way I wish files to be displayed is with Details checked.

However, at every three or four boot-ups, I find the display has gone to
"Show Icons".

Just to confirm that, I hope, I am doing things correctly, this is what
I
do:

1. Whilst on the file list, , alt+v, View Menu.

2. Enter on Details.

3. Alt+T. Tools Menu.

4. Enter on Folder Options.

5. Move to the View tab.

6. Move to "Apply to all Folders" button, and enter.

7. Agree to have all the folders displayed as in the current folder.

As already mentioned, the display is fine for a few days. Then, for no
apparent reason, the folder display reverts to Icons. And it's always
Icons,
and nothing else.

Any ideas as to what's happening, and how I can effect a permanent
solution.

With many thanks.

Keith
