[jaws-uk] Re: FW: [bcab] Urgent Warning - do not install Rapport

This software appears to be an anti-phishing type solution and therefore
is a duplication of much existing effort for example in Internet
Explorer 7.0, Firefox 3.0 and third party offerings that come with
certain anti-virus software. Furthermore one can defeat a great deal if
not all phishing attacks by never executing any link given in an email
from an institution that pupports to be from your bank. If people
simply follow the rule that you never do this and either always type in
the address to your bank or have a favourite derived from a trusted link
you create then the majority if not all phishing attacks can be
prevented from take place at all even doing this will render the use of
this software obselete beside the sfforts already listed above.

May I also recommend one other solution here which I think is truely
excellent, is free, and has absolutely no accessibility concerns once
set up. Change from using your ISPs DNS servers to those of OpenDNS
which among many things provide phishing protection and I/P spoofing
through the use of correctly updated DNS servers to protect a known and
potentially dangerous I/P protocol attack which some regular ISPs
haven't done. I changed a whole home network over to this without
anyone even knowing the change had occurred yet it provides some
significant advnatages and isa free setup:
