as I said earlier, AVG and SuperAntiSpyware work wel together.  There could
be other Antispyware products out there,but I can tell you, AVG8 free
edition, together with SuperAntiSpyware free edition work well.  They don't
clash in any way on my computer at all, and if you look around both
programs, jaws reads them just absolutely fine.  That is, however, you are
running jfw9.  AVG8, as previously reported will not yet run with jaws8 or
below.  Read the other posts from various listers about alternatives to AVG
if you are running a version of jaws less than version 9.

I would also say that in general, run antivirus programs that other jaws
users say that works with jaws.

with avg. re anti-virus and screen readers it is little enough to ask that
they work for Vips, as Tristram was saying the other day on the anniversary
of the first virus20 years ago ,that young student remember at Cornell Uni
in  america
 so much has changed then  it was floppy disks that were the main
carriers of virus. every day we here about security it has to make sense to
cover Vips.Oh well Kevin Morris wrote to his Mp asking for manufacturered
goods to be covered. Now that was too much to expect  but anti-virus that is
reasonable, still  as I said if the supportive bodies cannot be bothered or
think they have "no clout" then   I am as you say flogging a dead horse
