[jaws-uk] Engineers mistake continued.

Well sorting out the reason as to why the Toshiba laptop when used to Scan
would not work with Kurzweil but in Word or Photo is not an easy job, it
can be many things, could be in My documents files a recognition Engine.
some files are "not writable, have had some suggestions. The desktop of
course due to hardrive failure did have a clean slate. The Toshiba not. I
have decided that a new Scanner which incidentally as Kurzweil say is not
likely to be the problem but as I am scared of the racket it makes when the
roller stick, I was going to get an HP Packard as their printer is most
reliable Laser Jet 1010 series mine is 1012 is great. However it does seem
that the Epson Perfection does actually work better with the OCR than the
Hp. I have found a local dealer who will order and deliver the following
Epson Perfection3490 Photo. Friendly man looked up Kurzweil Website and
said many of them are not made any more. As they are five hours behind in
Florida I wonder if you can give me a bit of feedback. I cannot use a Combo
as my printer is free standing. Dorothy. Ps the desktop Viglen is
still noisy, on the left side is a circular disc I assume this the fan. I
wonder if Tiddy was right and a screw loose, odd thing is I only need to
place a warm hand on side, not of course covering the fan but just on metal
and it stops. I did say to Tony Berry if someone was recording would it
interfere with recording. He said no it couldnot do that. I doubt if any of
this helps you but you never know. A hardrive failure was very painful who
said "rtreat your hardrive like best glass" was it Phil Medway, think I
agree.
