[jaws-uk] Re: End of support for Windows 98, Windows Me, and Windows XP Service Pack 1

George

Thanks for that, and I have looked at the page. I don't know about anyone
else, but I think it is unacceptable to stop supporting older versions of
Windows. From the page I have just read, it looks as if all they are
thinking about is people at work. I am sure there must be lots of people
all over the world who are still successfully using the older versions and,
perhaps for financial reasons, have not chosen to upgrade. New software can
cost quite a lot of money, and many people don't have the cash to spare. If
Microsoft think that everyone in the world is going to upgrade to their new
all singing all dancing product, they have got another think coming. Maybe
I should not talk like this about a company, but even those of us who can
afford to change get a bit fed up with constantly having to do so. If you
have XP service pack 1 it is free to upgrade to service pack 2, but that is
about the only thing that is free. What do others think? I don't suppose
there is much that we can do about it, but we can at least have a moan.
