[jaws-uk] Dongles & JAWS

Rather than speculate and guestimate, I posed the dongle
question to Mervyn Robertson at Sight & Sound here in the
United Kingdom.

"OK. Here's my official line:

A new copy of JAWS can be ordered with a dongle, instead of
ILM, and there would be no extra cost. Bear in mind that we
don't carry inventory of the dongle so there is a delay in
receiving these items.

An existing user can change from an ILM to a dongle at a
cost of £45. There will probably be a few hoops for the user
to go through if the dongle is lost and a replacement is
required (for obvious reasons of making sure that someone is
not trying to give a mate a cheap way to get hold of JAWS).
Replacement cost is £45. Damaged dongles can be replaced for
£45 provided that it is returned to us.
