[jaws-uk] Re: Disk Cleanup & Disk Defragmenter

They are two different programs. Disk defragmenter tidies up your hard
drive, as files tend to get fragmented the more you use your computer, and
defragmenting helps to make it work more efficiently. I should warn you
that defragmenting a large hard drive does take a little while, so do it
when you have some free time and are not using the PC for anything else.

Disk cleanup removes temporary files, history of web access and other things
you don't need. There is a list you can look at when you launch the program
to see what it will remove before you press ok. Again, it is a good thing
to do regularly to help make your computer run more efficiently.

You don't need to uninstall JAWS or do anything else before running these
programs. In fact, if you have JAWS running it helps because JAWS will tell
you how far the defragmenting or cleaning up has got.

I hope this helps.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Disk Cleanup & Disk Defragmenter

Hi all,
Please can someone tell me exactly what disk cleanup and disk defragmenter
get rid of? Is there much of a difference between the two programs? Is one
better than the other?
Do I need to uninstall jaws, remove authorisation or anything?
Thanks - Sue.
