Wow, that's seems a very convoluted way of doing what I thought was a simple
task - I would never have figured that out on my own. Thanks very much for
your help, Tristram.

The problem is one of focus as you correctlly identify. The trick is this:
1 Navigate by any means to the link you want to save the target of.
2 Press insert+F7 and you should notice that you are in the same place as
with the link.
3 Press tab to get to "move to link" button and press spacebar to
avtivate it, this step get's Jaws to shift the IE focus rather than VPC
focus to the link. Since the VPC focus is a notional tool for Jaws access
it does not necessarily change the real context in Windows.
4 Now press application key or shift+F10 to get the context menu and you
should now havge the right options to "save target" etc.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Cursor focus with save target as

Hi all

Using IE6, JFW5.1pro and XP sp2. When I want to save a download, such as a
pdf document link, and right click on the link, there is no *save target as*
in the drop down menu. The only way I can do this is to press the space bar
on the link, which starts to open the page, cancel or close the page then
the focus is on the link for *Save target as*. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Barry
